Loss on sale of LPG at Rs 100 per cylinder

LPG is currently a regulated commodity

Another source said that LPG is currently a controlled commodity, so technically the government can regulate its retail price, but in doing so, the government will have to meet the loss of sales to petroleum companies at a price below the cost.
14.2 kg cylinder price
At present, the price of LPG cylinder in Delhi and Mumbai is Rs 899.50. Whereas in Kolkata it is Rs 926. Eligible families in the country get subsidized LPG cylinders at the same rates. In a year, they get 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg each at subsidized rates. Meanwhile, the prices of petrol and diesel were further hiked by 35 paise per liter on Wednesday. Prior to this, vehicle fuel prices were not increased for two days.
