LPG New Rule: Increasing geopolitical tensions and war-like situations around the world have now begun to directly impact the common man’s kitchen. The ongoing war between Iran, Israel, and the United States in the Middle East is affecting many countries around the world. In light of the changing global situation and supply chain challenges, the Central Government has made a major change to the domestic gas cylinder booking rules. To prevent hoarding and black marketing, the LPG booking period has been extended from 21 days to 25 days.

Government Changes Rules

According to reports, it has been reported that people who previously booked LPG cylinders within 55 days have now started booking cylinders within 15 days. To prevent this chaos and stock-hoarding, the booking interval has been increased from 21 days to 25 days. This means that you will no longer be able to book a second cylinder before 25 days after purchasing one. The government has ordered refineries to increase LPG production and prioritize domestic LPG over commercial connections. Sources said, “Domestic consumers will always be the priority,” as India looks for more LPG partners.

Petrol and diesel prices will also not increase.

Government officials say that there is no need to panic in India at this time. Petrol pumps across the country are operating normally and there is adequate fuel stock. Sources indicate that there is currently no shortage of petrol, diesel, or aviation fuel (ATF). According to government sources, state-owned oil marketing companies have sufficient capacity to handle rising costs. Meanwhile, the price of Brent crude oil surpassed $100 per barrel on March 9th. At one point during the day, it reached $120 per barrel, though it later fell to around $102 per barrel. Even when crude oil prices had previously exceeded $100 per barrel, state-owned oil companies did not immediately increase petrol and diesel prices.
