LPG Cylinder Price Drop: From Delhi and Mumbai to Patna, Lucknow, and Kolkata, LPG cylinders have become cheaper by 5 to 5.5 rupees. This has brought some relief to millions of consumers across the country.
LPG Cylinder Rate Cut: One of the changes taking place starting November 1st also concerns LPG cylinders. LPG cylinders have now become cheaper. Oil marketing companies have released the latest rates for domestic and commercial gas cylinders. According to Indian Oil’s website, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders has been reduced in many cities across the country, including Delhi, while the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinders remains unchanged.
From Delhi, Mumbai, to Patna, Lucknow, and Kolkata, 19 kg commercial gas cylinders have become cheaper by five to five and a half rupees. This has brought some relief to millions of consumers using commercial gas cylinders. Thus, the price has decreased by approximately 200 rupees in the past year. This is a significant relief for those using it in hotels and other commercial locations.
How much will a cylinder cost in which city now?
Talking about the four big cities of the country, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has reduced by Rs 5 at some places and Rs 5.50 at other places.
- In Delhi, its previous price was ₹1595.50, which has now been reduced by ₹5 to ₹1590.50.
- In Kolkata, the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been reduced from ₹1700.50 to ₹1694.
- In Mumbai, a 19 kg cylinder, which was previously available for ₹1,547, will now be available for ₹1542.
- In Chennai, the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been reduced from ₹1754.50 to ₹1750.
Commercial gas cylinder prices have also decreased in other cities across the country.
How much are domestic LPG cylinders available for?
Indian Oil has also updated the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders. However, the old prices remain in effect. The price of a domestic gas cylinder in Delhi is ₹853, while in Mumbai it is ₹852.50. No changes have been made by oil marketing companies.
Domestic gas cylinder prices have remained stable since April 2025, with no increase. It’s worth noting that on April 8, 2025, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder was increased by ₹50. Since then, the price in Delhi has reached ₹853, and this rate remains in effect until now. The central government made the biggest reduction on domestic cylinders in August 2023. At that time, the government reduced the price by ₹200, providing significant relief to the common people.
