LPG Price Hike: LPG cylinder becomes costlier by ₹111, check new price

LPG Price 1 January 2026: LPG gas cylinder consumers have received a major shock on the New Year. The rates for commercial LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders and domestic cylinders have been updated today, January 1, 2026. Commercial cylinder consumers from Delhi to Patna have suffered a sharp shock of ₹111. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.

According to Indian Oil, a 19 kg LPG cylinder will be available in Delhi for ₹1691.50 from today, up from ₹1580.50. In Kolkata, it will now be available for ₹1795, up from ₹1684. There has also been an increase of ₹111. In Mumbai, a commercial cylinder will now be available for ₹1642.50, up from ₹1531.50. In Chennai, a commercial cylinder will now cost ₹1849.50 from today.

Domestic LPG Rates

Based on Indian Oil data, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) prices in India are currently available for ₹853 in Delhi, ₹852.50 in Mumbai, and ₹890.50 in Lucknow. Meanwhile, it costs ₹985.5 in Kargil, ₹969 in Pulwama, and ₹890.5 in Bageshwar. In Patna, it costs ₹951.

Commercial cylinders became significantly cheaper in 2025.

Over the past year, domestic LPG cylinder consumers have suffered a loss of ₹50. In Delhi, the price of a commercial cylinder has dropped from ₹1818.50 to ₹1580.50 per cylinder.

Commercial LPG cylinder prices have brought significant relief to businesses. Over the past 12 months (January 2025 to December 2025), metropolises like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai have seen an average decline of ₹238 per cylinder.

19 kg LPG cylinder prices fell 10 times in 2025.

The price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder decreased the most in July (₹58.50), September (₹51.50), and April (₹41+). Two smaller increases occurred in March and October, of ₹15.50 and ₹6, respectively.
