Maharashtra Lockdown: Restrictions like lockdown in Maharashtra from today, know what will remain closed – what opened

Mumbai: Maharashtra’s Maha Vikas Aghadi government has announced a curfew in the state from 8 pm on Wednesday night. During this period, there will be a complete ban on public activities except essential services. The government has taken this decision in view of the worsening situation of Corona in the state. Out of 1.85 lakh new cases reported across the country in the last one day, more than 60 thousand cases have been found in Maharashtra alone. In view of the situation in Maharashtra, there was a possibility of a lockdown.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray did not announce the complete lockdown while addressing the people of the state through internet media, but announced a curfew for 15 days. The curfew will be effective from eight on Wednesday night and will continue till seven in the morning of May 1. He said that till the prohibition of ‘lockdown’ restrictions, Section 144 of CrPC will also be applicable in the entire state. It prohibits the simultaneous gathering of five or more people in a public place. However, the Chief Minister did not use the term lockdown in his address. Uddhav Thackeray said that the war against the corona virus has started once again. The epidemic has increased the pressure on the state’s health facilities.




He said that the state government would provide three kilograms of wheat and two kilograms of rice to every poor and needy for a month. He also appealed to the central government to increase the supply of oxygen and Remedisvir injection.

They will be allowed

  • During curfew, only essential services will be exempted, drug shops will be open, home delivery of medicines and food will also be done.
  • Transport facilities will be operational only for people connected with essential services, exemption of work at e-commerce companies and construction sites
  • 200 political rallies will be included in the open ground, only 50 percent people of capacity in the hall are allowed
  • There will be a restriction on these
  • Complete ban on religious, social, cultural and political events
  • Salons, spas, schools, colleges, private coaching centers, beaches, clubs, swimming pools, gyms, cinema halls will remain closed
  • There will be a ban on shooting of films, TV serials and commercials.
