Yesterday, the Delhi Cabinet has approved the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, under which women will get Rs 2500 every month. For this, the government has kept a budget of Rs 5100 crore. The benefit of this scheme will be available only to women with BPL cards, that is, only those women who come under the poverty line will get Rs 2500 every month from the Delhi government. For this, some other eligibility has also been fixed by the government. This includes age from 21 to 60 years, resident of Delhi for at least 5 years, etc. Apart from this, women who are pensioners, government employees, those women will also not get the benefit of this scheme.
What is a BPL card?
In Delhi, BPL cards are for women who are below the poverty line. In such a situation, women who are below the poverty line can get their BPL card made and take advantage of the Mahila Samridhi Yojana. For this, you will need some important documents. To get a BPL card, your annual income should be less than Rs 1 lakh. To apply for a BPL card, you can apply by visiting the official website of the Food and Logistics Department of your state.
