To avoid any hindrance in the operation of both, Namo Bharat train will be available every 10 minutes while Meerut Metro will be available at an interval of approximately seven minutes. Presently, Namo Bharat arrives every 15 minutes. With Meerut Metro stopping at all stations, this distance will be covered in approximately 30 minutes.
For the last two days, people are curious to see both the trains running at the same speed as per the time. The date of operation has not been announced yet but it is believed that the date can be announced for it anytime.
This is how both the trains will operate
Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro are modern transport systems which will be operated from the centralized Operation Control Center (OCC). NCRTC has adopted European Train Control System (ETCS) Level-2 with LTE based Platform Screen Door (PSD) for the first time in the world.
This includes Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and Automatic Train Supervision (ATS). ATP is a safety system that ensures that trains operate within safe speed limits and signals.
At the same time, ATS is a monitoring and control system to maintain adherence to the timetable and to minimize disruptions. Namo Bharat will be found on one side of the station and Meerut Metro on the other side. Passengers can get down from one and catch the other train from the opposite platform. Passengers will not have the inconvenience of walking much to go in the same direction.
