Let us tell you that Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has changed the timing of metro services for one day (12th February only). This change has been made keeping in mind the ICC T20 World Cup match. Today, i.e. on 12th February, the ICC T20 World Cup match will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Due to the match, a large number of people are expected to be present in the stadium and the surrounding areas. In such a situation, for the convenience of the passengers, DMRC has extended the timing of the last train on some metro lines by about 90 minutes. This will make it easier for people to return home after the match is over.
Which lines have changed timings?
Red Line (Line 1) – The last train on the Shaheed Sthal to Rithala route will run between 12:10 and 12:15 am.
Yellow Line (Line 2) – The last metro train from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre in Gurugram will run between 12:20 am and 11:45 am in the opposite direction.
Blue Line (Lines 3 and 4) – The last train from Noida Electronic City and Vaishali to Dwarka Sector 21 has also been extended. Noida Electronic City – 11:35 am and Vaishali – 11:45 am.
Green Line (Line 5) – Some trains on the Kirti Nagar and Inderlok to Brigadier Hoshiar Singh route have been rescheduled until 1:00 AM.
Violet Line (Line 6) – The last train on the Kashmere Gate to Ballabhgarh route will depart from Kashmere Gate at approximately 12:25 AM and from Ballabhgarh at 11:20 AM.
Pink Line (Line 7) – The last metro train on the Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar route will depart at approximately 12:10 AM.
Magenta Line (Line 8) – Trains between Botanical Garden and Janakpuri West will be available from 12:30 AM to 12:45 AM.
Grey Line (Line 9) – The last metro train between Dwarka and Dhansa Bus Stand will run from 1:15 AM to 1:30 AM.
Airport Express Line – Services between Yashobhoomi and New Delhi will be available until 1:00 AM.
A note:
This change is only valid for February 12th. Starting February 13th, metro timings will return to normal, with the last trains running between 11:00 and 11:30 pm. If you’re attending a match or traveling late at night, you can plan your trip according to the new timings.
