Why will banks remain closed on Monday 30 June 2025?

Banks will remain closed in Mizoram on the occasion of Remna Ni on 30 June. Remna Ni means day of peace in Mizo language. It is celebrated every year on 30 June, because on this day in 1986 the Mizoram Peace Accord was signed. This agreement was a big step to end the problem of insurgency that lasted for about 20 years in Mizoram. The people of Mizoram remember this day as a symbol of peace and unity and celebrate it with special events across the state. All public and private banks will remain closed on this day due to government holiday.

Digital banking services will remain operational

During the holidays, all your digital services like net banking, mobile app, UPI, wallet and ATM will continue to run as before. That is, you can do online transactions without any problem. But if you have to deposit a check, get a draft made, open an account or do any kind of work by visiting a bank branch, then it would be better if you get these tasks done before the holidays.
