Corona infection in Maharashtra is not taking its name. An increase of 1709 new cases has been registered in the capital Mumbai on Saturday. Let me tell you, this figure is the highest this year. Talking about Maharashtra, 15,602 new positive cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 88 patients have died. This is the second consecutive day that more than 15,000 cases have been reported in the state in a single day. The figure stood at 15,817 on Friday.




New cases have been seen in all districts of Maharashtra including Mumbai since February. Let me tell you that in the month of September-October last year, the epidemic was at its peak in the state. Talking about national figures, 24,882 new positive cases have been reported today. In the past 24 hours, the Corona epidemic in Maharashtra has been defeated by 7,467 patients. They have either recovered or been discharged from the hospital.

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray recently said that a lockdown could be implemented in some cities to deal with corona in the state. He says this will be done to stop the growing cases of corona in the state. However, he has also said that the situation has not been uncontrollable due to Corona infection yet. Let me tell you that in view of the increasing cases of Corona, the movement of people has been banned in many districts of Maharashtra. The BMC has not, at the moment, implemented any kind of restriction, other than Corona’s guidelines. On Saturday, Aurangabad district administration decided to impose lockdown till further orders. There will also be a strict lockdown in Nagpur from March 15.

He gave this information after a meeting of department heads today in view of the increasing number of corona victims in Nashik.

He said that health teams have been formed to deal with the corona virus and a control room will be set up immediately. He also said that two helpline numbers will be provided and the municipal employees will now take stern action against those who do not follow the health rules. He also clarified that all schools in Nashik will remain closed till March 31, but 10th and 12th grades can continue with the consent of parents.
