Mumbai Police have summoned social media influencer Ori (Orhan Avatramani) in connection with the ₹252 crore mephedrone drug case. The Anti-Narcotics Cell will question Ori. The case is linked to rave parties organized by Mohammed Salim Shaikh, which were attended by several Bollywood stars and politicians.

Mumbai Police has summoned social media influencer Ori (Orhan Avatramani) in connection with a ₹252 crore drug case. The Anti-Narcotics Cell will soon question Ori. The case relates to the seizure of mephedrone worth ₹252 crore in March 2024. This led to the arrest of Mohammed Salim Shaikh, the main organizer of the rave parties, which included several Bollywood stars and politicians.

According to the summons issued by the Mumbai Police, Ori is to appear before the Ghatkopar unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell tomorrow at 10 am. This information was provided by the Mumbai Police itself.

What is the whole matter?

The case for which the police have summoned Ori dates back to 2024. When Mumbai police seized 126.14 kilograms of mephedrone, worth approximately ₹252 crore, from a mephedrone-manufacturing facility located on a farm in Sangli district. In the same case, police arrested Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh last month after he was extradited from Dubai. Shaikh confessed to Mumbai police that he organized rave parties for celebrities in India and abroad.

Several celebrities on the radar

Mumbai Police investigations have revealed that Mohammed Salim Shaikh organized rave parties in Mumbai and Dubai. These parties were attended by numerous celebrities, social media influencers, and some politicians. Shaikh is a close associate of fugitive drug lord Salim Dola, a member of the Dawood Ibrahim gang.

The Mumbai Crime Branch’s Anti-Narcotics Cell stated that the lavish parties hosted by Shaikh were allegedly attended by Ali Shah, son of Dawood Ibrahim’s late sister Haseena Parkar, actresses Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, and her brother Siddhanth Kapoor.

The police also stated in their remand application to a Mumbai court that filmmakers Abbas-Mustan, along with rappers Loka and Ori, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddiqui, among others, were also allegedly present at these parties.
