Rita Bhattacharya, the first wife of legendary singer Kumar Sanu, has made shocking claims about his family in an interview. She described how multiple marriages are a tradition in the singer’s family. Not only all his siblings, but even his father married in old age. Furthermore, she described his brother-in-law’s daughter as having fathered five children by five men at a young age. And her younger sister was in a similar situation.
Rita Bhattacharya, the mother of singer Jaan Kumar Sanu, told Film Window in an interview, “Kumar Sanu started speaking rudely. He has five siblings, each with their own story. Their father married in his old age. He would get ready in front of their mother and go to meet his new bride every day. This was the system in their household. I arranged the marriage of Kumar Sanu’s married sister, who is about 45 years old and has three children. She also had a grandson. But the woman left the three children and came to my house with her boyfriend.” I told Sanu not to ruin his life, but he was happy because he had to do the same. My sister-in-law slept, woke up, and ate with Kumar Sanu. And they both had fun.
Kumar Sanu’s family had multiple affairs even after marriage.
Regarding Kumar Sanu’s mother, Rita said, “My mother-in-law was very nice. She always cried because of her husband. My sister-in-law died a very painful death. Sanu’s brother, Chandan, left his wife and went to marry someone else. My elder brother is in the same situation. But no one has ever been divorced. I am the first in their family to have been divorced. Everyone lives like this, no problem. We are moving forward with our legacy. Only the children travel.”

Regarding Kumar Sanu’s brother’s daughter, Rita said, “I met my second brother-in-law’s daughter a few days ago. She is the mother of five children, and each child has a different father. That means five men. This is Kumar Sanu’s story. They brought this daughter to Mumbai. And that girl left with Sanu’s driver. After that, she had a baby. Then she moved to Kolkata.” That little girl is the mother of five children. The first child is 25 years old, and the youngest is 5. This is Kumar Sanu’s culture. Her younger sister is in the same situation. She has three children, all of whom have different fathers.
