Namo Bharat train: In Gurugram, the Namo Bharat Train will pass under the Badshahpur storm drain near Hero Honda Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. In this regard, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has obtained information related to this storm drain from the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA).
The depth of this rain drain is about five meters. In such a situation, a tunnel will have to be built at a depth of about seven meters to take Namo Bharat underground. A GMDA official said that Badshahpur drain originates from village Ghata located on Gurugram-Faridabad Road. This rain drain passes through Golf Course Extension Road and meets Khandsa. From village Khandsa, this rain drain goes towards village Basai via Sector-37C and D. In such a situation, all the information related to the rain drain has been made available to NCRTC.
Plan to build underground station at Hero Honda Chowk
Under the current plan of NCRTC, an underground station will be built at Hero Honda Chowk. There is a plan to build this station in the green area near Hero Company. About 94 trees will have to be cut.
8 stations will be built in Gurugram
The Haryana government has approved the Namo Bharat Train scheme. The central government has not yet approved it. There is a plan to run Namo Bharat from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Dharuhera. Four stations will be built in Delhi under this, while there will be eight stations in Gurugram. These stations will be at Cyber City, IFFCO Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Kherki Daula, Manesar, Pachgaon and Bilaspur Chowk.
