NEET UG Registration: There’s significant news for millions of students dreaming of pursuing medical studies. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory for NEET UG 2026. This advisory clearly states that if candidates’ required documents are not correct and updated, they may be disqualified from the exam. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure all relevant information is accurate before applying.

What did the NTA say about Aadhaar Cards?

The NTA has advised candidates to ensure their Aadhaar card information is correct. According to the agency, a candidate’s Aadhaar card must be completely valid and up-to-date. The name, date of birth, gender, photo, address, and biometric details in Aadhaar must be correct. Any errors in any of these details could lead to difficulties with registration or admission later.

Incorrect information may result in rejection of the form

The NTA has clarified that if any discrepancies are found in the information submitted in the application form or the documents, the NEET UG 2026 form may be rejected. Candidates can update their information online at uidai.gov.in or by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Providing accurate information will prevent problems during document verification and counseling.

Special Instructions for Candidates with Disabilities

Candidates with disabilities are advised to use their UDID card only if it is valid and renewed. Using an old or expired UDID card may cause problems during verification and may even result in application rejection.

Important Note Regarding Category Certificate

Students applying from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS) must ensure that their category certificate is fully valid. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued as per the prescribed rules and within the stipulated date. It is important to keep all certificates updated before applying.

When can the exam be held?

Based on previous years’ trends, the NEET UG exam is typically held in May. Based on this, it is believed that NEET UG 2026 may also be held in May. However, the final date will be announced by the NTA soon.
