Nepal PM Oli resigns amid violent protests: Protesters enter Parliament building

Nepal Protesters: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned amid violent protests in Nepal for the last 2 days. Yesterday, protests started across Nepal against social media ban and corruption in which 19 people have been killed so far, while more than 400 people are injured.

Today the protesters entered the Parliament House and committed arson. Before Oli, 4 ministers had resigned, which increased the pressure on him to step down.

The protesters also set fire to the houses of former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Ramesh Lekhak, who resigned from the post of Home Minister yesterday, and Communications Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.
