New Airport Update: Flight ticket booking services will soon begin from Jewar Airport (Noida International Airport). Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YAPL) is in talks with three airlines, IndiGo, Akasa, and Air India, to achieve this goal. All other work will be completed within 45 days. This information was provided by Union Aviation Minister KR Mohan Naidu in the Rajya Sabha on Monday. He said that the airport will be inaugurated with great fanfare.

On Monday, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP National Secretary Surendra Nagar asked a question about the launch of the first flight from Jewar Airport. In response, the Union Aviation Minister said that the most important requirement for starting flights from any airport is an aerodrome license. Jewar Airport has received this license. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued it on March 6. Now, all other procedures will be completed within 45 days. Discussions are underway with airlines for this purpose. They have been asked to prepare flight schedules. Ticket booking services will also be started after receiving flight schedules from the airlines.

The airport will be inaugurated with a grand ceremony.

The Union Aviation Minister stated that the Noida International Airport will be inaugurated with a grand ceremony. Preparations are underway. The airport is scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Yogi government has already sent an invitation to the Prime Minister. The date will be announced once the Prime Minister receives an appointment from the Prime Minister’s Office. He stated clearly that the airport’s inauguration will be a grand affair and that preparations are underway to make it historic.

First Phase Construction Completed

Under the first phase, construction of the Noida International Airport has been completed on 1334 hectares. A 3900-meter-long runway, terminal building, and air traffic control tower have been constructed. On March 5th, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) granted security clearance to the airport, and the aerodrome license was issued just 24 hours later. From aircraft landing on the airport runway to passenger facilities at the terminal, several training trials have been conducted.

55% of electricity consumption will come from green energy

Noida International Airport will have net-zero carbon emissions. Ground handling, as well as passenger service vehicles, will be electric. Even 55% of the airport’s electricity consumption will be from green energy. The airport will generate 10 megawatts of electricity from solar energy farms. Solar panels have already been installed on the airport site. Another 10 megawatts will be generated from wind energy. A charging station for electric vehicles has also been constructed.

Aerodrome License Handed Over to NAIL-YAPAL
