Varanasi News: The Indian government is preparing to run a bullet train between Delhi and Varanasi, which will reduce the travel time to three and a half hours. This 784 km long route will have 12 stations and is expected to be completed by 2029.
New Bullet Train: The Indian government is preparing for a bullet train from PM Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi to the capital New Delhi. The journey to Varanasi, which is about 840 km from Delhi, is not easy. Be it a train or a bus journey or a road journey, reaching Varanasi proves to be tiring. Since the flight fare is expensive, not everyone can avail of it. Now the journey can be completed in just three and a half hours by bullet train.
Bullet train can prove to be a boon for Uttar Pradesh. According to media reports, the journey from Delhi to Varanasi by bullet train can be completed in just 3 and a half hours. There will be 12 stations between the two cities. This train will start from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station and go to Manduadih station of Varanasi via Noida Sector 146, Jewar Airport, Mathura, Agra, Etawah, Kannauj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Bhadohi.

The distance from Delhi to Varanasi is 840 km. Currently, it takes about 12 hours by train on this route. The work of Delhi-Varanasi High Speed Rail Corridor (DVHSRC) will be completed by 2029. Its total cost has been estimated to be Rs 43 thousand crore.
After the completion of work on this route till Varanasi city, 18 trains will run on this route every day. A bullet train will run every 47 minutes between 6 am and 12 pm. In such a situation, it will become easier to reach many cities of UP including Varanasi from Delhi.
According to the report, a new underground station is being built in Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi for the bullet train. A 15 km tunnel is being prepared for this. At the same time, the bullet train station in UP’s capital Lucknow will be near Awadh Crossing. This station will be built between Amausi Airport and Charbagh Railway Station.
