CBSE has taken a new step to improve counseling for children, conducting an online exam to test the skills of counselors. Learn how the process will work.
New exam system: The field of education is constantly changing, and the focus is no longer limited to studies. Children’s mental health and proper guidance are considered equally important. Keeping this in mind, CBSE has taken a new step. A special online exam is being introduced for school counselors to better assess their qualifications and work ethic.
What is the new exam system?
CBSE has introduced the “Online Remote Invigilation Exam.” This means that the exam will be conducted online, eliminating the need to visit an exam center. Counselors can take the exam from their homes or schools. Modern technology will be used throughout the process to ensure a fair and transparent examination.
Who is this exam for?
This exam is specifically for teachers and staff who work in school counseling. These are the people who understand and help children with mental health issues, stress, academic pressure, and behavioral problems. CBSE wants such counselors to be well-trained and qualified so that they can guide children in the right direction.
How many will participate?
Under this initiative, CBSE plans to assess a large number of counselors. It is estimated that around 10,000 counselors may take this exam. This will ensure that the quality of counselors working in schools across the country remains consistent.
What will be tested?
This exam will not only assess book knowledge, but will also examine the counselor’s understanding of children’s problems. It will also assess their thinking skills, problem-solving skills, interaction with children, and ability to make informed decisions in difficult situations.
