New Expressway: The journey from Noida to Lucknow is now going to be quick and easy. The Uttar Pradesh government is working on a new Greenfield Expressway, which costs Rs 45,000 crore. This road will be ready by 2026 and will reduce the distance from Noida to Lucknow from 8-9 hours to just 3-4 hours.
This expressway will not only benefit passengers but will also give a new impetus to trade, industry and tourism. This project is a big step for Uttar Pradesh, which will make the entire state more developed.
This expressway will be completely access-controlled, meaning there will be no traffic signals. Vehicles will be able to move fast without stopping. It will have a smart tolling system, so there will be no need to stop at the toll booth.
Apart from this, there will be facilities like service lanes, overbridges, underpasses and traffic management centers. This road will be built on new land, which is called a Greenfield project. This means that it will be a completely new route, which will be free from jams and obstructions.
This expressway will greatly benefit trade. Goods from industries in Noida, Greater Noida and Delhi-NCR will reach Lucknow and nearby markets quickly. This will reduce the cost of logistics and traders will earn profits.
Also, the creation of industrial parks and warehouse hubs will open up avenues for new investments. Tourism will also get a boost as it will become easier to reach historical and religious places in Lucknow, Kanpur and nearby areas.
The construction of this road will provide jobs to thousands of people. Materials, engineering and other services will be needed during construction, which will provide employment to local people. Real estate and small businesses will also grow in the towns and cities along the way. The Uttar Pradesh government and the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) are working fast to complete this project by 2026. A detailed project report is being prepared for this and the work of purchasing land will also start soon.
This expressway will also be good for the environment. Lakhs of trees will be planted along its sides and solar lighting will be used. There will also be a system to collect rainwater, which will increase the groundwater level. There will be CCTV cameras, emergency call boxes and ambulances for the safety of passengers. There will be traffic control units every 30-40 kilometers and fuel stations and rest areas every 100 kilometers. This road can also be connected to Delhi-Mumbai and Purvanchal Expressway, which will strengthen the connectivity of entire Uttar Pradesh.
