FASTag Annual Pass: There has been a lot of discussion about annual Fastag for quite some time. This annual Fastag scheme will be started from August 15. With this new rule, crossing the toll plaza will now become even simpler. This new scheme will be applicable mainly for private vehicles like cars, jeeps and vans. On June 18, 2025, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari announced the annual Fastag pass. The Union Minister had told that, according to the new rule, you will get 200 trips free in an annual pass of Rs 3000. This scheme will provide relief to those who regularly pass through toll plazas.

How much can it cost
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said, through the new annual Fastag, toll plazas can be crossed for just Rs 15. Through this, toll plazas can be crossed for just Rs 15. The price of this pass has been kept at Rs 3000, which will include 200 trips. One trip means crossing the toll plaza once. In this way, your expense per toll can be only Rs 15. At present, about Rs 10,000 is spent on crossing the toll 200 times, but in the new scheme this work will be done for just Rs 3000. This means that passenger vehicle drivers will get a direct saving of about Rs 7000.
How to recharge
From August 15, 2025, drivers will be able to get an annual toll pass for Rs 3000, after which they will be able to cross the toll plaza 200 times without paying extra. This annual Fastag pass will be applicable all over the country and its validity will be one year. If 200 trips are exhausted before the completion of the year, then the pass will have to be recharged again, while after the completion of one year, the remaining trips will also be considered expired. The recharge of the annual Fastag toll pass can be done only through the NHAI website or the Highway Yatra app. At present, it cannot be recharged from any UPI app like a normal Fastag.
