The second passenger terminal trial at Noida International Airport has been successfully completed, testing all processes from passenger entry to baggage handling. Following approval from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, the first passenger flight will operate by December 15th.
New International Airport: The second passenger terminal trial at Noida International Airport was also successful. Noida International Airport management shared the information via a video on X. Flights are now set to resume by December 15th.
Local residents and company representatives participated in the trial by posing as passengers. The video clearly shows that the domestic terminal at Noida Airport has been completed. Even security measures have been completed. CISF is deployed at the airport.
During the terminal trial, the entire journey from passenger entry to check-in, security checks, boarding gates, and baggage handling was demonstrated, which management declared a success. Passengers were duly issued boarding passes and escorted to their aircraft. The management described this as a major milestone, stating that all preparations are underway to ensure flights can resume on schedule.
Shailendra Bhatia, nodal officer for Noida International Airport Limited, stated that the airport is almost ready for flight operations. All necessary radars have been installed on the runway. Now, only the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) approval is awaited, which will be mandatory for obtaining an aerodrome license. It is claimed that the first passenger flight will take off from the airport’s runway on December 15th. Officials have begun preparations for this. However, the date for the inauguration is still unclear.

Civil Aviation Ministry officials held a meeting with officials from the developer companies, Yapal and Nial, on Tuesday. Officials from other departments also attended the meeting. The meeting discussed the airport’s security plan and other issues. According to officials, the meeting with the Civil Aviation Ministry on Tuesday discussed the progress of the airport’s work, as well as the security plans and their certification, before issuing the aerodrome license. Following this, it is expected that the DGCA will issue the aerodrome license soon.
