Reliance Jio has brought a new technology called ‘JioSpaceFiber’ to connect remote areas of the country. ‘Jeo Space Fiber’ is a satellite based giga fiber technology, which will connect those remote areas where it is difficult to provide broadband connectivity through fiber cable. This service will be available across the country at very affordable prices. Jio has showcased this technology in the India Mobile Congress running from 27 to 29 October. This is the third major technology of Jio Space Fiber company after Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber.
Technology reached these places
The four most remote places of India have been connected by Jio Space Fiber. These include Gir National Park of Gujarat, Korba of Chhattisgarh, Nabarangpur of Orissa and ONGC-Jorhat of Assam.
Technology will work through satellite
This is the third major technology in the connectivity portfolio of Reliance Jio after Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber. SES company’s satellites will be used to provide broadband connectivity to remote areas through Geo Space Fiber. That means Jio Space Fiber will now provide reliable multi-gigabit connectivity anywhere and anytime. Jio Space Fiber will use innovative and advanced NGSO technology to deliver satellite based internet services in challenging areas.
Experts associated with the telecom sector believe that ‘Jio Space Fiber’ has the power to change the face of rural India. By connecting to affordable, reliable and high-speed internet, major changes are expected in the field of education and health in remote areas. Remote government schools will be able to connect to the internet world through satellite connectivity. There will be significant improvements in the quality of education, as well as reduction in inequality in education. In these areas, data on primary health care, vaccination, nutrition and community welfare will be available in real time, so that local governments will be able to take correct and accurate decisions.
