Delhi Metro’s Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) has completed the tunneling work in Vasant Kunj under the Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor being built under Phase 4. Union Minister Manohar Lal was also present on this occasion.

Union Minister Manohar Lal was also present on this occasion. After the tunnel is built, the work of the 26 km long Golden Line will be completed. This Golden Line will go from Aerocity to Tughlakabad. People of Gurugram will also benefit from the new metro running on this route. The tunnel breakthrough work has been successful near Vasant Kunj Metro Station.

Union Urban Development and Housing Minister Manohar Lal was present with DMRC officials and employees at the time of tunnel breakthrough. After the completion of the tunnel work, he said that today it is a matter of great happiness that the tunnel work of DMRC’s Aerocity-Tughlakabad project – Golden Line – has been completed. I congratulate the DMRC officials and other technical people associated with this project. This 26 km long Golden Line will be completed on time, which will provide great convenience to the people of Delhi in commuting.
Manohar Lal further said that there will be an interchange facility for the Golden Line at Chhatarpur Metro Station, so people from Gurugram will also be able to board this metro line. Union Minister Manohar Lal said that apart from Gurugram, people traveling to Old Delhi, Jahangirpuri will also benefit from the Golden Line. He further said that people of Ballabhgarh and ISBT will also be able to connect to Tughlakabad. Expressing happiness, Manohar Lal said that the Delhi Metro network is going to be the largest network of any city in the world.
