Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has made it easier for passengers to recharge digital cards in Aqua Metro. Now the card can be recharged by scanning the QR code from the Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) at 21 metro stations. Recharge of minimum Rs 100 to Rs 2000 can be done through UPI, which will save passengers from long queues.
Passengers traveling in Aqua Metro of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will no longer have to stand in long queues to recharge their digital card. Now the card can be recharged by scanning the QR code through Ticket Vending Machine (TVM).
NMRC management has started this facility at 21 metro stations. However, the facility of taking tickets is available only from November 2024. In such a situation, now the passengers will benefit. Let us tell you that there are 21 metro stations from Sector-51 to Greater Noida depots on the 29.705 km route of NMRC Metro Noida.
NMRC Managing Director Dr. Lokesh M said that for this the passengers will have to put their digital card on the machine. After this, the given options have to be followed. Recharge can be done from a minimum of Rs 100 to a maximum of Rs 2000.
On choosing the option of Rs 100, a QR code for Rs 100 recharge will appear on the screen. It can be scanned through mobile and payment can be made through UPI. The card will be recharged as soon as the payment is made. During this, a receipt of payment will also be received. So that it can be shown in case of any technical problem. More than 52 thousand passengers travel on the Aqua Metro route every day.
Aqua Metro connects to the Blue Line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) at Sector-51 of Noida. Soon this line will be extended as a link line from Greater Noida Depot to Bodaki and from Botanical Garden to Sector-142.
