According to officials, Patna residents will be able to enjoy metro rides till Navratri. This will not only make everyday travel easier, but will also give a new experience of modern transport in the city.
Initial trials and preparations
The purpose of the metro trial is to finalize the preparation of the station and track. At present, entry-exit arrangements, lighting and other necessary equipment are being installed in the stations. During the trial, the train ran from the depot to Bhootnath Road and the operation was successful. The metro depot located in Bairia, which is spread over 76 acres, is almost completely ready.
Tickets and Fares
The fares for metro rides have been fixed. The minimum ticket charges will be Rs 15 for short distances and the maximum ticket charges will be Rs 30 for long distances. For example, the fare from New ISBT to Zero Mile is Rs 15, while from New ISBT to Bhootnath is Rs 30. In future, when the metro will extend from Bhootnath to Malahi Pakadi, the fare may increase slightly.
Operation time and distance
Patna Metro will run for about 14–15 hours a day. One trip will take about 20 minutes. The timings are being finalized and will be announced to the public as soon as it is finalized.
