New Passport Service: People living in Noida will not face any difficulty in getting a passport. Ghaziabad Regional Passport Office has started a Mobile Passport Seva Van, which will go to needy places and provide passport services to the citizens. Till now, there is a passport office only in Ghaziabad for 11 districts, where people from 11 districts go and complete the process of getting their passport made.
It is often seen that if any mistake occurs during this, then people have to make several rounds of the passport office to get it corrected. This mobile van sent by the Ghaziabad passport office is currently parked at the Indian Coast Guard campus in Sector 24, where passports are being made for the employees of the Indian Coast Guard and their families.
This service will be available from 18th to 20th February. During this time, people living in the campus and their families will be able to get all the passport related work done. Regional Passport Officer Anuj Swaroop said, “We have received applications from 60 applicants so far and it is expected that this number will increase in the next two days.”
He also said that as per the requirement, this van will be sent to other government institutions, schools and colleges. Passport mobile van will be deployed wherever the requirement is coming from. Be it any government institution, school or college. Apart from this, a passport service center is also available in the post office in Sector 19 in Noida, where people can go and get their passport made.
