Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: Passengers have liked the journey of Vande Bharat Express very much. This is the reason why this train has run full on many routes. These trains cannot be run on long distances because passengers will face inconvenience while sitting during long journeys. To solve this problem, Indian Railways is preparing Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. Its trial run has been done. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that Vande Bharat Sleeper will be launched next month. The Railway Minister said at a program in Gujarat, “Vande Sleeper will be launched very soon, in September.” Recently, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, the Railway Minister had informed that the first prototype of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train has been prepared and is currently in the commissioning process. That is, testing and technical investigation work is going on. This train is going to add a new chapter to the semi high-speed network of Indian Railways.
Vande Bharat Sleeper is a full AC train
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train manufactured by BEML at Integral Coach Factory (ICF) is a fully air-conditioned train. The train will have a total of 16 coaches. It will have AC First Class, AC 2-Tier and AC 3-Tier coaches. 1,128 passengers will be able to travel in the train at a time. Its maximum speed will be 180 km per hour.
Unique combination of facilities and safety
Vande Bharat sleeper train will have many new facilities. Such as sensor activated interconnecting doors have been installed. Touch-free bio-vacuum toilets and talk-back units have been installed. First class coupes will have stairs and flight-style attendant buttons for easy access to the upper berths. Anti-collision system ‘Kavach’ and anti-climbing technology have also been installed to protect the train from accidents. It does not allow the coaches to climb over each other in case of an accident. This reduces the risk significantly.
CCTV cameras, modular pantry and disabled friendly berths and toilets will be available in Vande Bharat Sleeper. The special thing is that for the first time, hot water shower facility will also be provided in AC First Class coach, which will be a first in the history of Indian Railways.
