NH-48 will remain closed for two months, traffic police issued advisory

These routes will be affected

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started repair work to address immediate concerns over the soil collapse. The closure of the service road will affect traffic between Gurugram and Mahipalpur, impacting key areas like Vasant Kunj, Indira Gandhi International Airport and Dhaula Kuan.

Passengers can adopt these other routes

  • This route can be taken for Mehrauli-Gurugram Road via Aya Nagar Border.
  • This route can be taken for Old Gurugram Road – Kapashera – Samalkha Road.
  • Gurugram – Dwarka Expressway – Yashobhoomi – Dwarka Sector 23 Crossing – Janaki Chowk – Dwarka Sector 8/9 Crossing – T Point Sector 7 – Ganpati Chowk – Dwarka Sector 7/9 Crossing – Sector 6/7 Crossing – Sector 1 Crossing.
  • Then turn right, this route can be taken for Palam Flyover – Dhaula Kuan.
  • Dabri – Gurugram Road – Dwarka Flyover – Dwarka Road – Station Road – Parade Road route can be taken.
  • This route can be taken for Gurugram – Dwarka Expressway – Yashobhoomi – Mahipalpur – Dhaula Kuan.

Use the metro

Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory advising people to travel by metro. The advisory says that passengers can travel by metro to travel without any hassle. To reach IGI Airport or New Delhi Railway Station, passengers are advised to avail metro service from Dwarka Sector-21 station on the Airport Express Line.

The advisory says, travelling by metro will save you from getting late, you just need to travel with planning and time management. Especially those passengers who are going towards office, airport, hospitals or railway stations.

The road will remain closed for two months

A service road on National Highway 48 in Delhi has been closed for repairs. In such a situation, passengers will not get relief soon, they will have to wait for at least two months.
