Nissan Gravite Price, Features: Today was a big day for Japanese car manufacturer Nissan. After a long wait, the company launched its all-new Nissan Gravite in the Indian market. During a grand event in Udaipur, the city of lakes, Nissan officially launched the car for sale. The company says the car’s name is inspired by gravity. Equipped with attractive looks and advanced features, this 7-seater car has a starting price of ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

Nissan India has officially opened bookings for the new Gravite. Interested customers can book the car starting tonight through the company’s official website and authorized dealerships. The company will offer a special introductory price for the first 5,000 units of the car, meaning early birds will have the opportunity to bring this car home at a lower price.

The country’s cheapest 7-seater car

The Nissan Gravité, with a starting price of just ₹5.65 lakh (approximately $1.5 million), is the country’s cheapest 7-seater car. It is essentially based on the Renault Triber, which starts at ₹5.76 lakh (approximately $1.5 million). This makes it the most affordable 7-seater MPV currently available for sale in the market.

The car looks familiar at first glance, but its design and features have been updated to make it stand out. The Gravite has been specifically designed for family use and everyday needs. The Nissan Gravite’s styling is largely inspired by the Triber, but several distinctive elements have been added.

Its headlamps feature new DRL signatures. The car features newly designed alloy wheels. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned with new C-shaped silver inserts. GRAVITE branding has been added to the bonnet and tailgate. The honeycomb-patterned grille at the front gives it a more premium look. Color options include Forest Green, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Snow White, and Metallic Grey.

Cabin and Seating Layout

The Gravite’s interior layout is similar to the Triber, with 5+2 seating, but the colors and trims are different. The dashboard design is simple and useful. It features a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel, three climate control knobs, and multiple storage spaces. Higher variants feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver’s display.

Features Available

This MPV comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button start and stop, cruise control, automatic LED headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers. Safety features include six airbags, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, parking sensors, steering-mounted controls, a wireless charging pad, a cooled glovebox, a reverse camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Launch Edition Features

A limited launch edition of the Nissan Gravite has also been introduced, with only 1,001 units being produced. This special edition will come with JBL sound system, dual channel dashcam, ambient lighting and some additional features.

Engine and Mileage

The Gravite is powered by a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72 hp and 96 Nm of torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearboxes. The manual variant has a claimed mileage of 19.3 km/l, while the AMT version delivers a mileage of up to 19.6 km/l.

The Nissan Gravite is offered in a total of 8 variants. This car is the first to announce a CNG kit alongside its launch. Nissan India’s MD stated that the car will soon be offered with a dual-cylinder CNG kit. The car’s maintenance cost is also among the most affordable in its segment. According to Saurabh Vats, the maintenance cost is just 40 paise per km.

Live Demo Fails

The Nissan Gravit has incorporated the industry’s first AI voice assistance feature. Nissan has named it Akira, which allows users to engage in voice chat. At the launch, Saurabh Vats attempted to give a demo to show the media a live experience. Unfortunately, due to a technical glitch, the voice assistance feature, Akira, did not respond.
