Noida Metro Extension: Plan to build 19 new metro stations for connectivity between Delhi-Greater Noida – Details

Noida Metro Expansion Aqua Line : Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is planning to invest Rs 5245.95 crore to boost connectivity between Delhi and Greater Noida. This new Noida Metro Rail Extension project has already received the approval of the Uttar Pradesh government. On completion, the new metro project will not only enhance connectivity but will also contribute to the development and prosperity of the region.

NMRC has planned to build two new metro corridors to enhance urban mobility and provide seamless public transport facility. These are – (a) Sector-142 to Botanical Garden, and (b) Sector-51 Station (Noida) to Knowledge Park-V (Greater Noida), which will have a total of 19 new metro stations.

Noida Metro Aqua Line Extension: Sector-142 to Botanical Garden

The Noida Metro from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden is a significant step in the development of the city’s metro infrastructure, which is likely to benefit the region immensely. This new metro corridor is designed to meet the growing demand for efficient and reliable public transport. The project will be constructed at a total cost of Rs 2254.35 crore.

The 11.56 km long Noida Metro from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden will have 8 new stations. These are – Botanical Garden, Noida Sector-44, Noida Office, Noida Sector-97, Noida Sector-105, Noida Sector-108, Noida Sector-93 and Panchsheel Balak Inter College. This will provide seamless connectivity to all passengers traveling from Noida-Greater Delhi and vice versa on the Noida Metro Sector-142 to Botanical Garden corridor. Its estimated ridership in the initial phase is around 80,000. This will make Botanical Garden station a major interchange station with 3 stations.

Noida Metro Extension : Sector–51 to Knowledge Park – V Corridor

The Noida Metro Sector-51 to Knowledge Park-V corridor will provide easy traffic facility to the passengers of Noida, Greater Noida West and Greater Noida via Vikas Marg and Noida-Greater Noida Link Road. This will help in reducing traffic on these roads. The 17.435 km long Noida Metro Sector-51 to Knowledge Park V corridor will have 11 stations. These are – Noida Sector-51 (existing), Sector 61 (interchange with DMRC’s Blue Line), Sector 70, Sector 122, Sector 123, Greater Noida Sector 4, Eco Tech-12, Greater Noida Sector 2, 3, 10, 12 and Knowledge Park-V.

The Noida Metro Aqua Line Extension Corridor from Sector 51 to Greater Noida Knowledge Park V will be built at a cost of Rs 2991.60 crore. This extension will also enhance access to Aqua Line and DMRC’s Blue Line. The Noida Metro Sector 51-Greater Noida Knowledge Park V Corridor will benefit commuters from Noida, Greater Noida West region and Greater Noida region with quick access and direct connectivity to Noida and Delhi.
