Who has made a rapid testing antigen kit for home testing ?: It has been reported that Rapid Antigen Kit Coviself TM (CoviSelfTM) – Pathocache has been made for testing corona at home. It has been developed by a Pune-based company called MyLab Discovery Solution. An app has also been made for use of this kit at home, from which the method of its use can be known. However, ICMR has also warned about its indiscriminate use.
ICMR said that the mobile app along with the test kit provides complete information about the test. All its users are advised to take a picture of the results in the strip on the mobile after uploading the test and upload it on the app. By which this data in the phone will be collected in the secure server of the center and the test information will also be accessed in ICMR’s Covid-19 Testing Portal. The ICMR said that they will have complete information about the patient.
ICMR said – Those who are tested positive, consider themselves infected: ICMR has asked to stop the wild use of test kits to be used only by people who have symptoms of Covid-19 or they are infected by an infected person. Have come in contact with. Indiscriminate testing is not recommended. All people who have been tested positive can be considered genuine positive and there is no need for repeated testing.
How much can the cost of the test kit be? After being ready in five months, at the time of launching, people will have to pay Rs 250 per kit. According to the company’s MD, this test kit could hit the market in the next one week.
Results will come in maximum 15 minutes: It has been told that through this test people will take maximum 15 minutes to know the result. Positive results will be known in just 5 to 7 minutes, while negative results will take more than 15 minutes. Apart from this, the person doing the test will have to download the MyLab CoveSelf app on their phone.
