New Delhi: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has decided to withdraw from the upcoming T20 tri-series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This decision was taken following the deaths of three Afghan domestic cricketers in airstrikes allegedly carried out by Pakistan’s military regime in Paktika province. Afghanistan was scheduled to play a tri-series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan between November 5 and 29 in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
However, following the attack, Afghanistan withdrew from the series. Pakistan carried out this attack treacherously, as a ceasefire had already been established. The Afghanistan Cricket Board itself claimed in a post that Pakistan cowardly took the lives of these innocent cricketers.
