Pakistani army general confesses – China wants to end Baloch movement; motive is to stop India’s growing influence

In a shocking revelation, a Pakistan Army general has acknowledged China’s role in “crushing” the Baloch independence movement in Pakistan. He said that Beijing has given him six months’ work to end the freedom struggle of the Baloch people.

The Bangladeshi newspaper ‘The Daily Sun’ told him that China has deployed me here to crush the Baloch movement and has given me six months’ work. Describing Iran as Pakistan’s worst enemy, Pakistan Army Chief General Ayman Bilal said that Pakistan’s army would go inside Iran and take action against them.

He said, “China has paid me salaries and large sums of money and has officially posted me here for its territorial interests and to thwart Iran’s intrigues against the CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor), because it There is a kind of investment in regional interests. ”

Balochistan remains the poorest and least populous province of Pakistan despite Islamabad’s many development projects in the past. Rebel groups have sparked a separatist insurgency in the province for decades. He complains that the central government in Islamabad and Punjab province unfairly exploits his resources. Islamabad started a military operation in this area in 2005.

In 2015, China announced a USD 46 billion economic project in Pakistan, of which Balochistan is an integral part. Along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Beijing aims to expand its influence in Pakistan and Central and South Asia to counter US and Indian influence.

CPEC connects Pakistan’s southern Gwadar port (626 kilometers, 389 mi west of Karachi) to China’s western Xinjiang region in the Arabian Sea. It also includes plans to build road, rail and oil pipeline links to improve connectivity between China and the Middle East.

Baloch separatists, militants and political groups both oppose China’s increased participation in the province. An upsurge in deadly attacks by Baloch separatists in Pakistan has increased the risk and cost of China’s ambitious Belt and Road projects. He has also launched several attacks on China’s workers and officials. In November 2018, Baloch separatists attacked the Chinese consulate in southern Karachi city of Pakistan.

Major Genera Ayman Bilal said that the end of the Baloch movement and the success of CPEC is very important for Pakistan and China. He said, “We have a good amount for this task, so tell us how much you need because we cannot wait for Iran to create unrest in Balochistan. We believe against CPEC and in the name of friendship in our Stab in the stomach. “
