It is noteworthy that amid Middle East tensions, two-day talks are being held with Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. The aim of these talks is to defuse the Iran war. Surprisingly, the talks are aimed at defusing the war in Iran, but the two main actors, the United States and Israel, are not involved in these talks.
Islamabad has stepped up its diplomatic activities in recent weeks. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is in contact with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, while officials have reached out to several regional parties in an effort to create space for dialogue.
Speculation is also growing that indirect participants in US-Iran diplomacy may be involved in this broader process, although no formal confirmation has yet been issued.
