There is good news for those who apply online for getting a passport. Now passport can be made in just 10 to 15 days. For this, you have to apply online and for this it is not necessary to list the documents. You can submit your documents online. Also, instead of all the documents like identity proof and address proof, only one Aadhar card can work.

Step-1: First you have to go to Passport Seva https://portal1.passportindia.gov.in/. Here on the home page click on the link given for New User Registration.
Step-2: On the screen you will see the left side option. Now a new window will open. Fill all the details asked here and enter the captcha code and click on the Register button.
Step-3: After this go to the option of User Login. Here login with the help of the login ID created at the time of registration and click on the link given for ‘Apply for Fresh Passport and Re-Issue of Passport’.
Step-4: After this, fill all the details being asked there and click on Pay and Schedule. After this select the date to go to the passport office as per your convenience. After that you can make online payment.
Step-5: After this you have to download the receipt by clicking on Print Application Receipt. Carry your original documents with you on the day you have your appointment. Your passport will reach your home by post within 15-20 days from the date of document and police verification.
