In fact, after submitting a passport application, applicants must visit the Regional Passport Office in Gomtinagar to resolve various issues and formalities, including date of birth, pending court cases, incorrect police verification reports, change of police station, and NOC. This office issues 80 appointments daily.
These appointments are available on the Passport Department’s website. Additionally, approximately 500 applicants also come without prior appointments. After filling out the form, information related to their problems and inquiries is provided on the spot.
Many officers and employees of the Passport Department will be on leave on Monday for the Chhath festival. Consequently, the Passport Department will conduct all its work on Monday using only the available resources.
For this reason, arrangements have been made to visit the Regional Passport Office only with an appointment on October 27. Starting Tuesday, October 28, applicants without an appointment will also be able to visit the Gomtinagar office.
