Rajasthan Pensioners News: There is news of use for lakhs of pensioners of Rajasthan. Pensioners (old age, widow and specially abled persons) who have not yet got their physical verification done under the Social Security Pension Scheme should get it done before 31 December 2025, otherwise their pension may get stuck from January 2026 or they may be deprived of the pension benefits. The Social Justice and Empowerment Department has clarified that if pensioners do not get their annual verification done by biometric or face recognition technology by 31 December 2025, their pension for the year 2026 will be temporarily stopped. However, it will be restarted after the verification is done.

Pensioners under the Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme are required to undergo annual physical verification in November-December each year to confirm their survival. Pensioners who have not yet completed this verification may face a temporary or permanent pension suspension. However, they will receive their pension back, along with arrears, once the verification is complete. The last date for annual physical verification is December 31, 2025. Pensioners can perform their annual physical verification through biometric or face recognition at e-Mitra kiosks, e-Mitra Plus centers, and the Rajasthan Social Pension and Aadhaar FaceRD mobile app.

Pensioners who are unable to leave their homes for annual physical verification due to advanced age or physical illness can have their annual physical verification done from the comfort of their homes through the mobile app by the respective sanctioning officers.
In case of any difficulty in biometric verification using fingerprint, pensioners can present their PPO, Aadhaar card, or Jan Aadhaar card to the subdivision office for their annual verification.
Pensioners who lack fingerprint biometric verification can also undergo iris scan.
If the pensioner appears in person before the pension approving officer (Development Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer), physical verification can be performed based on the OTP received on the pensioner’s registered mobile number after the officer enters the pensioner’s PPO number on the SSP portal using their SSO ID.
Pensioners can also complete this process using their smartphones. To do this, download the ‘Raj SSP Portal Face Recognition’ and ‘Aadhaar Face RD’ apps from the Play Store. Enter your pension PPO number in the app. Then, ensure the Janadhaar, Aadhaar number, and bank account match. The app will then take a photo of the pensioner using its camera, and after face matching, the identity will be confirmed based on instructions such as blinking.
