Pensioners Pension: There is good news for lakhs of pensioners of Rajasthan. CM Ashok Gehlot has transferred Rs 1005 crore 41 lakh 28750 to the bank accounts of more than 51 lakh pensioners, now the pensioners will get the increased pension amount for the month of May-June. The same CM has announced that an act will be made on social security and employment guarantee. Under this, pension will be increased by 15 percent every year.

Will bring this act in assembly session

In fact, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday transferred Rs 1005 crore 41 lakh 28 thousand 750 to the bank accounts of 51 lakh 21 thousand 969 pensioners of the state. He directly transferred the increased pension amount (minimum Rs 1000) for the month of May-June in the State Level Social Security Pension Scheme Beneficiary Dialogue program at the Chief Minister’s residence. CM said that there was no shortage in providing minimum income and social security to the common man. Will go With this feeling, in the upcoming session of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, an act will be made regarding social security pension and employment guarantee. This will ensure 15% increase every year including minimum pension amount per month. Under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme and the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme, Rajasthan will ensure a minimum of 125 days of employment.

Government will pay 12 thousand crore rupees every year

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Tikaram Julie said that the state government would pay Rs 12 thousand crore annually from the increased pension. In this only about Rs 367 crore will be recharged by the Central Government. Chief Secretary Usha Sharma said that there has been an increase in the pension amount of about 68 lakh persons below the age of 75 years in the state. This will give support to the needy. In the financial year 2022-23, till March 31, 2023, Rs 8775.82 crore has been paid to the pensioners. Out of this amount, only about Rs 350 crore (4 per cent) has been reimbursed by the Central Government to the State. The remaining more than 96 percent amount has been borne by the state government.

Pension will increase by 15 percent every year

It is worth mentioning that at present 93.50 lakh persons are getting its benefits. In the budget of the financial year 2023-24, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced to increase the minimum pension amount payable to the beneficiaries up to the age of 75 years to Rs 1000 per month. About 67 lakh pensioners coming under this ambit will get the benefit of this announcement and the state government will bear an additional Rs 2,222 crore every year on this. The same CM had also announced an automatic increase in the pension amount by 15 percent every year. Since January 2019, 35.62 lakh new pensioners have been added to the social security pension schemes in the state.

Smart phones will be distributed from this month

CM Gehlot said that in the first phase, smart phones will be distributed to 40 lakh women from this month with 3 years of internet facility. With this, they will be able to directly connect with public welfare schemes. Along with this, the distribution of ration packets will also be started soon under the Chief Minister’s Free Annapurna Food Packet Scheme. He said that Rajasthan will become one of the leading states of the country by the year 2030 due to all-round development in every field including medical, education and employment.
