After flagging off the movement of trains, the central government has given permission for domestic passenger flight service. According to the decision of the government, air travel will be started from May 25. During this time, passengers will have to follow many types of rules. The government has also issued guidelines for the passengers, including the absence of check-in arrangements at the airport. Along with this, the government has also fixed the minimum and maximum air fare limit to curb the fares of air travel.

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the limit of air fares has been divided into 7 bands (parts) on the basis of time of travel. This fare will be applicable till the next three months i.e. 24 August. This clearly means that the airlines will not be able to increase the fare on their own and passengers will get the convenience of traveling at a lower fare. It will be mandatory for airlines to sell 40 per cent travel tickets at an average rate as per government instructions. This fare will be around 6700 rupees. The government has issued a number of guidelines for airlines, airports and other parties.

How much will be the fare for air travel …

> The government has formed 7 bands. It will have flights that travel less than 40 minutes in the first band.

> The minimum fare for this period of flights will be Rs 2,000 and the maximum fare will be Rs 6,000.

For 40 to 60 minute flights, the fare range will be from Rs 2,500 to Rs 7,500.

For 60 to 90 minute flights, the fare range will be from Rs 3,000 to Rs 9,000.

For 90 to 120 minute flights, the fare range will be from Rs 3,500 to Rs 10,000.

For 120 to 150 minute flights, the fare range will be from Rs 4,500 to Rs 13,000.

For 150 to 180 minute flights, the fare range will be from Rs 5,500 to Rs 15,700.

> The range of fares will be from Rs 6,500 to Rs 18,600 for flights of 180-280 minutes.

Actually, the operation of commercial passenger flights has been suspended since March 25 due to the lockdown caused by the corona virus. In such a situation, a large number of passengers will come forward as soon as the air travel services open. In such a situation, it was expected that the airlines would charge the fare as per their wish, but this would not be possible after the capping imposed by the government.

Strict rules have to be followed during domestic passenger flight service starting on Monday after a two-month halt. During this time operation of about one third of the airplanes will be allowed.
