The seventh installment under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has not come yet. The installment of Rs 2000 every four months was expected to come in the farmers’ account from December 1, but in many states there were reports of fraud under this scheme. In view of this, the number of beneficiaries has come down from 11 crore 35 lakh to 9 crore 97 lakh.
Two days ago this number was 11 crore 35 lakh on PM Kisan Portal. Not only this, the number of farmers availing the installment-by-installment scheme is decreasing. According to PM Kisan Portal, the first installment was received by 10.52 crore farmers, while the second installment reached 9.97 crore, the third 9.05 crore, the fourth 7.83 crore and the fifth installment reached 6.58 crore farmers, while the number of farmers getting the sixth installment is only 3.84 crore. . In such a situation, the number of farmers getting the seventh installment may be less.
Why is it lacking
Now the Center and the state government are preparing to recover money from the farmers committing fraud. Explain that under the PM Kisan Samman Yojana lakhs of farmers who paid income tax in Maharashtra were given Rs 6000 annually. Whereas, only those farmers who have their own land and do not pay income tax can avail this scheme. The farmers will not get the benefit of this, who get a monthly pension or dividend of Rs 10,000.
Ineligible people were taking advantage
According to TOI report, 2.30 lakh farmers in Maharashtra have been paid the Samman Nidhi, who pay taxes. Investigation has revealed that a total of Rs 208.5 crore was given to such farmers. Now the government is going to recover this amount from them. In Tamil Nadu, accounts of 5.95 lakh beneficiaries were investigated, out of which 5.38 lakh were fake. The government is recovering from such people. Similar fake news has also been reported from many other states, in which millions of ineligible farmers were taking advantage of this scheme.
