Candidates who have applied will also be given the opportunity to edit their details from February 18 to 19. Since the selection process will be done on the basis of class 10 marks, those with the highest marks have better chances of getting the job.
When it comes to educational qualifications, it is mandatory to pass the tenth class from a recognized board. The age of the applicants should be between 18 years and 40 years. As per the rules implemented by the government, there are relaxations in the age limit for candidates belonging to various social groups. It is noteworthy that no written test is conducted for these jobs. The merit list will be prepared by considering only the tenth class grading or marks. India Post is preparing to release the list of selected candidates by February 28.
In terms of salary, Gramin Dak Sevak jobs offer attractive salaries. The salary for Assistant Branch Postmaster or Gramin Dak Sevak posts ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470 per month. Similarly, those selected for the post of Branch Postmaster will get a salary between Rs 12,000 to Rs 29,380 per month. Other allowances are also applicable as per government norms. Due to the short working hours and the opportunity to perform duties in one’s own area, there is a possibility of heavy competition for these jobs.
