Post Office Savings Scheme: The Postal Department of India runs various types of savings schemes keeping in mind the needs of the common citizens of the country. Many types of accounts can be opened in the post office including RD, TD, MIS, PPF, Kisan Vikas Patra. In the Post Office MIS i.e. Monthly Income Scheme, investors get a fixed interest every month. This interest money is deposited directly in your bank account. Today we will know here how much interest will be received every month if you deposit Rs 1 lakh in the Post Office MIS Scheme.

7.6 percent interest is being given on the Post Office MIS Scheme
The Post Office is offering an annual interest of 7.6 percent to its customers on the Monthly Income Scheme. At least Rs 1000 can be deposited in the Post Office MIS Scheme. Under this scheme, a maximum of Rs 9 lakh can be deposited in a single account. If you open a joint account, you can deposit a maximum of Rs 15 lakh in it. Let us tell you that a maximum of 3 people can be included in a joint account.

All the deposited money is returned on maturity.

To open a SIS account in the post office, you must have a savings account in the post office itself. If you have not yet opened a savings account in the post office, then you will have to open a savings account before starting investing in the MIS scheme. This scheme of the post office matures in 5 years. If you deposit Rs 1,00,000 in the MIS scheme of the post office, then you will get a fixed interest of Rs 633 every month. Along with this, after maturity, your entire Rs 1,00,000 will also be returned.
