Postal Department New Service: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched three new postal services aimed at ensuring faster and timely delivery of parcels and important documents. Importantly, if Speed Post fails to arrive on time, customers will receive a refund.
Postal Department New Service: This is good news for millions of customers across the country. Now, if your Speed Post doesn’t arrive on time, you can get your money back. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched three new Postal Department services aimed at ensuring fast, secure, and timely delivery. These services will now enable important documents and parcels to be delivered faster than ever before.
What are the new services?
The Postal Department has launched three new services: 24 Speed Post, 24 Speed Post Parcel, and 48 Speed Post. 24 Speed Post and 24 Speed Post Parcel will offer next-day delivery, while 48 Speed Post aims to deliver parcels within two days. These services aim to provide customers with a guaranteed punctuality.
Money back in case of delays
The most important feature of these new services is a money-back guarantee. If the postal department fails to deliver a parcel or document within the stipulated time, customers will receive their money back. This will increase both accountability and trust in the postal department.
Special Focus on Security and Tracking
To further enhance the security of parcel delivery, an OTP-based system has been implemented in the new services. This means that parcels will be delivered only after the customer provides the OTP. Additionally, customers will receive updates through SMS alerts and online tracking, providing complete information about the parcel.
Deliveries will now be available on Sundays as well
For the first time, the Speed Post service will also offer deliveries on Sundays and public holidays. This service will be available year-round, with the exception of three national holidays: January 26, August 15, and October 2. This will provide further convenience to customers.
Businesses will also benefit
These new services will benefit not only the general public but also small businesses and e-commerce companies. Features like free bulk pickup, pay later, and centralized billing will make doing business easier.
Strengthening the logistics sector
This initiative by the Postal Department is considered a major step towards strengthening India’s logistics system. It will increase competition in express delivery services and provide better options for customers.
