Pradhaan Mantree krshi Sinchaee yojana: Who will benefit from the Prime Minister’s Agricultural Irrigation Scheme, know how you can apply for it

In order to provide water to the fields of every farmer in the country, the Central Government started the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Irrigation Scheme in the year 2015. The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Irrigation Yojana is a scheme coordinated by the Center and the state government. Under this, 75 percent grant is given by the center and 25 percent is spent by the state government. Under this, farmers also get the benefit of irrigation schemes like drip / sprinkler.

At the same time, the central government bears 90 percent of the expenditure in high-altitude agricultural areas and the state governments 10 percent. The work of the Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Scheme is being done under the supervision of two boards. First National Steering Committee. Its president is the Prime Minister. Second is the National Executive Board. Its Chairman is the Deputy Chairman of NITI Aayog.

Who will get its benefit?

• To take advantage of this scheme, farmers should have arable land.

• The eligible beneficiaries of this scheme will be farmers of all sections of the country.

• Benefit will also be provided to self help groups, trusts, co-operative societies, incorporated companies, members of productive farmer’s groups and other eligible institutions.

• The benefit of PM Agricultural Irrigation Scheme 2021 will be given to those institutions and beneficiaries who cultivate the land under Lease Agreement for a minimum period of seven years. This eligibility can also be obtained from contract farming.
