Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana PMAY If you do not have your own house yet and you are taking your house, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has come up with a better option for you. The Government of India has set a target of bringing 2,508 cities in 26 states of the country under the purview of the scheme by 2022, the main objective of the Government’s scheme is to build 20 lakh houses by this period and reduce the number of slums by providing houses to the urban poor.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the government provides loans by various banks for construction of houses and the Central Government provides subsidy on the rate of interest of the loan payable by the beneficiary. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban, interest subsidy is provided to beneficiaries ranging from 3% to 6.50%. This interest subsidy will be payable only on purchase of a house for the first time.

The person who wants to apply under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2020 is the first to https://pmaymis.gov.in/ Click on the link. Then on the home page you will see an option “citizen assessment”.

“As soon as you click on citizen assessment you will see two more options slum Dwellers and Benefits under 3 components option, now click on these options as per your eligibility and pradhan mantri awas yojana can start the process of filling up the online application form.



Now you will have a computer window in which you have to fill in the requested information, first fill in the Aadhaar number of 12 digits and record the name according to the Aadhaar card and then click on the check option.

Now all the information sought in the online application form is as follows: All the information is well filled.

Then check your application form and submit the application form in the final form.

Thus, you can apply online to the Prime Minister’s housing scheme.

How much subsidy will you get in PMAY




Under this scheme, if you can provide a credit linked subsidy of 6.5 per cent on loans up to Rs 6 lakh, people earning up to Rs 12 lakh annually will be able to avail four per cent interest subsidy on loans up to Rs 9 lakh. Similarly, people earning up to Rs 18 lakh annually will be able to avail three per cent interest subsidy on loans up to Rs 12 lakh.
