Prime Minister Modi to undertake first foreign trip in Kovid period, will visit Bangladesh on Friday and Saturday

India-Bangladesh relations will get new dimensions when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Bangladesh on 26 and 27 March. In many ways, this journey will be historic because the birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman; 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations between India and Bangladesh; And the commemoration of 50 years of the war for the independence of Bangladesh will be fraught

The completion of 50 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Bangladesh marks the beginning of another golden chapter of friendship between India and Bangladesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bangladesh on 26 and 27 March at the invitation of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Prime Minister’s visit to Bangladesh will be the first visit to a foreign country after the crisis of the Kovid epidemic. During this time, the Prime Minister will attend the National Day Program of Bangladesh as the Chief Guest on 26 March.




In addition to bilateral talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister’s event, Bangladesh President Mau. Abdul Hamid, Bangladesh Foreign Minister, Dr. A.K. Meetings with Abdul Momen are also included. A number of agreements will be signed between the two countries during the Prime Minister’s visit. According to Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla, the areas where it will be signed are important in trade, cultural cooperation, health, railways, and cooperation in new areas.

Relations between the two countries have been excellent in recent times and the Foreign Secretary termed it a golden age of relations.

Earlier in October 2019, Sheikh Hasina visited India and then three projects were started with several agreements between the two countries in which the gas project is important. This visit of the PM reflects India’s preference for Bangladesh. This tour is three epoch-making events Mujib Borsho i.e. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary; 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations between India and Bangladesh; And belongs to the 50-year commemoration of the war for Bangladesh’s independence.
