New Delhi: Preparations for the vacating of the Prime Minister’s Office have been accelerated. It is now expected to move to the new Seva Tirtha complex after January 14th, according to a report by the Indian Express. The complex will house the Prime Minister’s Office, the Cabinet Secretariat, and the National Security Council Secretariat. The Executive Enclave complex, or Seva Tirtha, located on Dara Shikoh Road (formerly Dalhousie Road) in the heart of the capital, Delhi, was constructed by the government as part of the redevelopment of the Central Vista area.

According to government sources, while the Cabinet Secretariat will move to the new complex in September 2025, the NSCS is expected to move to Seva Tirtha before the Prime Minister’s move in. The Prime Minister himself will move to the new office complex after Makar Sankranti.

Seva Tirtha-2 and Seva Tirtha-3 will house key offices.

A total of three high-tech buildings have been constructed within the ‘Seva Tirtha’ complex. Seva Tirtha-1 will house the Prime Minister’s Office. Seva Tirtha-2 will house the Cabinet Secretariat. Seva Tirtha-3 will house the office of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. In addition to Executive Enclave Part 1, a new residence for the Prime Minister, called Executive Enclave Part 2, is also under construction nearby.

Most offices to be built under the Central Vista Project

Most offices in the new Prime Minister’s Office building will be designed to resemble the modern workplaces located in Kartavya Bhawan, the recently constructed Secretariat building under the Central Vista Project. The Prime Minister’s private office and rooms designated for ceremonial use during high-level visits will be more grandiose, befitting their intended purpose.
