PUBG India informed through a Facebook post that from October 30, Indian users will no longer be able to play PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite.

Tencent Games wrote on Thursday, ‘After an interim order from the Ministry of Electronics Information Technology, Tenset Games is going to shut down all its services and access in India from October 30. Safety of user data has always been our top priority and we have always followed the data protection laws and regulations in India. We regret leaving here. ‘

After the ban in India, PUBG Corporation, the company that developed the PUBG game, broke ties with Tencent Games in China. After this, it was expected that the game would return to India. The rights to publish PUBG mobiles in India will also return to PUBG Corporation. By turning off server access by Tencent Games, PubG Mobile will also stop working for users who were able to play it even after the game was banned.

118 Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite were banned in India in September. After this, they were also removed from the Google Play Store and App Store. PUBG game suffered a major setback due to the ban in India as 24 per cent of its total users were in India. It is worth mentioning that just a few days ago, PubG Corp, the creator of PubG Mobile, said in a post on LinkedIn that this Battle Royal style games are likely to return in India.
