Public Holiday: The state government has changed the scheduled holiday for November 24 to November 25. According to the new order, schools, colleges, and government offices will remain completely closed on Tuesday.
Public Holiday: The Uttar Pradesh government has changed the date of the holiday on Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom Day. The holiday, which was originally scheduled for November 24th, will now be held on November 25th. This decision has altered the timings of schools, colleges, and government offices.
This year, the date of the holiday declared for Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom Day in Uttar Pradesh has been changed. The holiday was originally scheduled for Monday, November 24th. However, the government has revised it and announced that it will be implemented on Tuesday, November 25th. An order issued by Principal Secretary Manish Chauhan states that traditionally, this day is a public holiday. However, this time, it has been shifted a day later at the state level. According to the order, all government offices, educational institutions, colleges, and private schools will remain closed on November 25th.
Now, November 25th will be a public holiday instead of the 24th.
This change has impacted the expectations of employees and students. In fact, November 23rd is a weekly holiday on Sunday. If November 24th had been a holiday, people would have had two consecutive days of rest, providing relief to everyone from school and college students to government employees. Many people had already hoped for a shorter holiday combining November 23rd and 24th. However, the change in date prevented this from happening. Following the government’s decision, November 25th will be a full holiday. Although the holiday has been extended by one day, people will not be able to enjoy the benefits of two consecutive days. Despite this, the state government has clarified that, in accordance with the revised date, all institutions will remain completely closed on Tuesday.
