How to Download a PUC Certificate Online
The Delhi government has made it mandatory to have a PUC certificate. If you live in Delhi or are planning to travel and drive there, you should download your PUC certificate. Follow the steps below.
- First, you need to visit the Transport Department’s vehicle portal, www.vahan.parivahan.gov.in.
- After this, you will see the option of PUC Details or PUC Certificate on the home page.
- After clicking on PUC Certificate, a new page will open where you will have to enter your vehicle’s registration number and the last five digits of the chassis number. Now, enter the captcha code displayed on the screen.
- Then click on the Get Details or View Certificate option.
- You will now see the PUC certificate if it is valid. You can download and print it.
How is a PUC certificate obtained?
If you haven’t yet obtained a PUC certificate for your vehicle, or if the certificate is about to expire, you can obtain one by visiting your nearest PUC center or petrol pump. Your vehicle will be tested there, and you’ll need to pay the standard fee. If your vehicle passes the emissions test, a PUC certificate will be issued.
